REFONDE

The REFONDE model, developped by the CETMEF, is a wave roughness code based on the refraction-diffraction Berkoff equation and a finite element resolution method. In its 2.0 version, REFONDE takes wave breaking in account in two different ways : by wave height lowering or by adding a dissipative term in the governing equation. The structures can be partly-reflecting, liable to flooding or transmittable. It computes regular and random waves. The wave spectrum used is Jonswap.

This code fits well with wave roughness studies in harbour areas. It can also be used in open sea for wave approach modelling.
